Vat Rates

Configure the VAT rates available to your organization, used for pricing across the platform.

Permissions

What you can do here depends on your role and the permissions your administrator has granted you:

Action Who can do it
View VAT rates Anyone granted view access
Add or edit a VAT rate Anyone granted the matching permission
Delete a VAT rate Anyone granted the matching permission
Set the default VAT rate Anyone granted update access

For administrators: these are permissions you may need to assign under Administration → Authorization → User Permissions, listed under the Xcelsus Application Framework application. Look for Create consumer vat rates, Update consumer vat rates, and Delete consumer vat rates.

Viewing VAT rates

Go to Administration → Vat Rates. The table lists each rate's name and percentage.

Setting the default VAT rate

Choose a rate from the dropdown — shown as a decimal (e.g. 0.1900 for 19%) — and click Set as default.

Adding a VAT rate

  1. Click the + button.
  2. Enter a Name and the VAT rate as a percentage.
  3. Click Save.

⚠️ Important: Your administrator's configuration sets a maximum allowed rate — entering a higher value will be rejected.

Editing a VAT rate

Click the pencil icon on a rate and update its name or percentage.

Deleting a VAT rate

Click the trash icon and confirm — this cannot be undone. A rate currently used by any menu item or menu option can't be deleted.
